The Generalitat Valenciana headed by its President Ximo Puig, initiated last Wednesday a trade mission in Japan with the intention to establish strong trade links in the medium to long term between The Comunitat Valenciana and Japan. La Generalitat Valenciana has set itself the objective to increase by a factor of 5 times the exports to the Asian Country, going from the current 88 millions to 500 millions of Euros. The meeting was placed in the Spanish Embassy in Japan, situated in Tokyo, taking action Mr. Gonzalo de Benito, Ambassador of Spain in Japan; Mrs.Coriseo Gonzalez, Spanish Commercial Advisor; as well as different entrepreneurs from la Comunitat Valenciana that join in the trade mission, including, Mr. Fidel Roig, President of Valfortec.
Mr. Fidel Roig submitted that the trade mission carried out by the Generalitat Valenciana “is a highly successful deal for The Comunitat Valenciana in general speaking since We are a totally strategic and prosperous territory with a powerful and productive Industry. Accordingly, Mr. Roig ensured that “ the exports will increase for sure in a short term of period; the new business agreement between Europe and Japan will allow to reduce the customs dutties and this helps to the exports”. The President of Valfortec was not the only Representative coming from Castellon since Mr. Francisco Toledo, President of PortCastello, key infraestructure for the exports of Castellon around the World. Also Mr Kazuhiko Takahashi, Vice-president of UBE Industries, Company settled in Castellon (Poligono Serrallo), atended the meeting.
It should be noted that Valfortec, Company dedicated in the renewable energy based in Castellon (Spain), is settled in Japan from 6 years ago,and has a permanent subsidiary office with a human team and a period of plenty activity since it is involved in the development of new projects around the Country.
